Today, more than 36,000 forums are using Discourse software for their online communities.
- Trust Levels - sort of tied to the ‘roles’ conversation re: how people move along a funnel to take on more responsibility / get more permissions as they earn trust - in place since 2018, 4-levels each with different permissions, people can earn their way up the stack, allows for customization by stewards.
- Has both Forum Posts & Chat rooms (with threads) - could be interesting for Hylo to see how these work together. Threads within chat rooms can be enabled or disabled by leaders.
