We’re creating a special program to help people use our new social platform to start an online space for the community they live in. It’s called the New Public Community Launchpad.

If you’re someone who loves bringing people together, is excited about doing it online, and has deep connection to the place you live, we want to give you all the support you need to build a thriving and useful online space for your town or neighborhood.

Our Community Launchpad program helps great people build great online spaces.

Starting a new online space is exciting and fun… and maybe a little intimidating? Our new social platform will make it a lot easier. And, you don’t have to go it alone. Our Community Launchpad program will give you everything you need to build a space your local community will love.

Here’s what participants can expect:

• Hands on support from the New_Public team from community design, to launch, growth, moderation and culture building.
• Membership in a peer-group of builders who are on similar journeys to share ideas and moral support.
• An opportunity to share insights and feedback with our tech team, helping shape the product as you use it.
• A cash stipend to help make community stewardship sustainable for you while you’re in the program.

Community Launchpad is for you if you:

1. Are excited about experimenting with new ways of bringing people together in the place that you live.
2. Can see yourself as the “steward” of a space, setting it up, inviting others to join and caring for it’s health.
3. Live in the United States. We’re especially excited to support people in rural areas, suburban towns, or small cities.
